Product Description
In Volume 2 of the fourth season of Jon& Kate Plus Eight , fans follow the Gosselin clan as they finally move into a house large enough for everyone including some canine additions to the family!  In one episode, eight-year-old twins Mady and Cara play Mommy for the Day. In another, they head to the orthodontist for the first time while their six siblings get their teeth cleaned.
The family travels to New York on a press tour and then to Tennessee to volunteer at St. Jude s Hospital.  They also find a way to fit in a trip to watch the Harlem Globetrotters in action!  But the biggest focus in this Volume is the Gosselin s big move where we watch them say goodbye to the home where the kids have grown up and where fans first fell in love with this unique and fascinating family.

Love this show!!! .,

This is a great show! I have been watching since season one and so has my oldest daughter (who is eight years old). We were both deeply saddened by the rumors and tabloid exposure that they have had about their personal life. We only wish them all the best. They have given their children experiences that they would never have been able to have if they would not have agreed to doing this show. The show has even given our family ideas of places to go and different things to do. We plan on taking our children (we have 4) to try our hand at pottery/ceramics painting (which Kate took all the girls to in one of the shows). We will still continue to watch the show and look forward to purchasing the next DVD that comes out. Hang in there Gosselins!

The Queen has moved, yet again… this time to outer space ,

“You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” I don’t know what the origin of that saying is but it certainly fits Lady-Gosselin perfectly. Over the past several weeks she’s been running around telling everyone that will listen that she’s “not a celebrity and deserves her privacy.” Now she’s reinvented herself as a martyr. And every time I think that she’s topped herself and can’t get any more maniacal I am sorely surprised.

Once upon a time I was a **huge** fan of this charade of a series. At the time I didn’t think it was a farce or a repugnant display of overindulgence. Nor did I realize how the show was produced, edited, taped or staged. I also didn’t realize how badly these children were being exploited. I was naïve enough to believe that it was a true depiction of a realistic American family. But the series is about as fake as the computer-generated, photo-shopped picture of this DVD with all of the perfectly smiling faces.

I first started opening my eyes to KON about a year ago. It was a slow and progressive process because like many people I refused to believe the truth. But there were 3 very pronounced instances that totally repelled me…

First, was the UT skiing trip that the KONs took in the Winter of ‘08. I wasn’t upset with all the freebies, shameless tie-ins and complaining that The Queen of Mean did. Nope, instead it was the way she treated their “good friend” Beth Carson. Like Mrs. Carson was hired help. The KONs go out to a luxury restaurant (free-of-charge, paid for by the network, mind you) while Beth and her daughter babysit all eight of the kids. That takes utter nerve. And it’s no coincidence that Beth was never seen after that ep. Nor has she ever spoken about KON, even though I am told by several industry insiders that she wrote the principal text of KON’s book.

Speaking of utter nerve, I was beyond disgusted and appalled when Jon (who I actually have a modicum of compassion for, because at times it appears that he has some repentance for selling his soul for a few shekels) and Queen-Bee took a trip cross-country. This was so Jon could take advantage of free, discretionary, cosmetic surgery. Of course it goes without saying that they didn’t bother to take their children. Why would they? And several of their 8 kid were sick. Aunt Jodi and Kevin (who have their own large family) were relegated to babysitters while these 2 irresponsible parents jetted off for the free surgery. TLC should do a show about Aunt Jodi and Kevin because they are true role models and fantastic parents who believe in the importance of family and telling the truth.

Finally, my “ah-ha” moment was during the tups’ 4th birthday ep last year. QFI was just beside herself. She could not get over the fact that all eyes were not on her. She was beyond cantankerous, even by her own standards. So what does she do? She goes out of her way to be overly hateful and cruel.

As an accomplished journalist and published writer I have written about a very wide range of topics over the years; everything from politics to pop culture. So when I wrote the very first critical review about KON on any e-commerce site nearly a year ago (that has since been published around the world, on multiple sites) I did not expect anyone to care. Why should they? Well, I have never received more hateful messages that attacked both me and my family, demanding an explanation. At the time I wrote the first negative review about KON I suppose I didn’t realize how huge The Queen’s following is/was, nor did I realize at what lengths her publicity juggernaut would go to rub out the truth because it didn’t jive with her picture-perfect family image.

If the reviews of The Queen’s latest money-making concoction are any reflection of her popularity, perhaps the tide is starting to turn. The sword cuts both ways, my Dear Queen. And I certainly applaud everyone for having the courage to write their honest feelings and for putting themselves up to the harsh criticism and abuse that I first faced myself, last year. Because I am certain that once her audience goes away the exploitation of the children will dissipate.

The new season premiere will be TLC’s highest rated ep ever. But I will not watch, out of respect for the children. And I urge everyone not to watch, either. No, you’re right. It won’t send a message to TLC. (Because all they seem to care about is money and acclaim, much like you-know-who.) But, at least you won’t feel like you’re contributing to this reality-circus nightmare that doesn’t seem to have an end in sight.

“It’s one thing to have a reality show where a ball-busting scold — who ‘felt very ugly toward the fans’ — and her unemployed mate try to deal with the bracing consequences of gobbling too many fertility drugs,” Al Walalentis (who is a journalist from KON’s hometown) wrote recently, continuing, “It’s quite another where the kids are 5 and off to school, a gourmet chef and personal assistant tend to your every need, you travel the country on TLC’s dime, you drive a fancy Nissan Nismo when you’re not hauling around the brood in that 15-passenger van, a sign outside your million-dollar home warns ‘KEEP AWAY,’ and, certainly not least, you pocket 75-grand per episode.” These people do not make up a regular family. The Queen will go to far lengths to keep the circus open for at least another 15 minutes. Because when that circus closes what’s left? A bankrupt, miserable person who has lots of money but very little of anything that counts.

I love the show,

With all the publicity for the show, I recently started watching. It’s been fascinating to see how their lives have changed since season 1. I have purchased all seasons available and will get volume 2 as soon as I can. I love watching them. [...] JMHO.
