Product Description
Joseph Stalin - the supreme leader of the Soviet Union - was a tyrant responsible for the death of millions. Yet he also had some unlikely relationships during the Second World War. Not just with leaders of the great democracies like Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt, but also with Hitler and the Nazis. For the first time on television, this ambitious series from award-winning filmmaker Laurence Rees uses exclusive evidence gained from the actual conversations and secret meetings Stalin conducted with Roosevelt, Churchill and Hitler, to dramatically reveal the true natures of the three leaders and how the meetings they had - and the decisions they made - shaped the world today.
Revealing the truth
By Roberto C. Geryk pan (Michigan) —
I would say that this is probably I’ve seen the first time that a report on the vital role they played in the post World War II and the first to give credit have long deserved. Even intimates that Churchill is not going scot-free when comes to the duplicitous role he played in turning from one tyranny to another. Add to that his refusal to allow participation in the victory parade in London.
Series that shows very well made,

This is the story of the twentieth century which, as Americans, we are generally quite ignorant. The Pearl Harbor, D-Day and the Battle of pumping have obscured our understanding of the most devastating and largely most significant World War II on the Eastern front. The sections are produced and dramatized portray excellent, only the BBC seems to do so well. It gives us a glimpse of the energy distributed to some of the darkest and most violent of the war. Highly - recommended.
Some useful insights into the Second World War

This is a useful and creative. The organization is a bit uneven but lasts much information that is relevant. The section on Churchill ’s found in 1942 that Stalin was quite interesting where Churchill admitted that the purpose of the British bombardment was wipe out German cities, not just to hit military targets. If you are interested in relations with Nazi Stalin, you might want to read deadly embrace. There is a book related to the Second World War DVD behind closed doors: Stalin the Nazis and the West.
