October Road is a powerful drama about friendship, love, and change that ended too soon–luckily, the closure that fans have craved since the series was cancelled in 2008 is finally here. Who knew it was possible to successfully wrap up all those loose ends in a mere 10-minute bonus feature? The second season of October Road opens just after Nick (Bryan Greenberg) has confessed his eternal love to Hannah Jane (Laura Prepon) and follows Owen’s (Brad William Henke) desperate flight to New York in response to his wife Allison (Elizabeth Bogush)’s affair with his best friend Ikey (Evan Jones). Nick and Eddie (Geoff Stults) set off to bring Owen back to Knights Ridge, though even if they succeed, things will never be the same between Owen and Allison or between old friends Nick, Eddie, Owen, Ikey, and Physical Phil (Jay Paulson). As the season progresses, Big Cat’s (Warren Christie) marriage proposal to Hannah stirs up all sorts of internal and external conflicts about everything from the long-kept secret of Sam’s (Slade Pearce) father’s identity to a brewing custody battle between Big Cat and his ex-wife Christine. Owen and Nick embark on an uncomfortable pilgrimage to help Owen face the details of Allison’s affair and the holidays come and go, bringing with them difficult memories, varying expectations, and unexpected truths. And then there’s the unlikely relationship between Eddie and Janet (Rebecca Field)–a virtual rollercoaster ride of emotion and self-doubt. The Commander’s (Tom Berenger) surprise bout with bone cancer inspires introspection, reflection, an impromptu night of old-style “living” with the boys, and a new commitment to the here and now. It also demands that Nick decide whether he’ll run away from his problems as he’s done in the past, or stand his ground to do what he ultimately knows is right. What’s crystal clear throughout the entire October Road series is that every action has far-reaching repercussions and that true friendship is both powerful and limited. While fans will likely never be truly satisfied with anything less than several more seasons of October Road, the 10-minute bonus “Road’s End: the Final Chapter,” created specifically for the DVD, offers the next best thing: a closing mini-episode that answers the questions: the identity of Sam’s father, the fate of Nick and Hannah’s intense relationship, and a look at how the whole gang is doing seven years down the road. Other bonus features include three minutes of bloopers and a six-minute behind-the-scenes guided tour of the sets. –Tami Horiuchi

Product Description
Before he left town, Nick Garrett told his high school girlfriend, Hannah Daniels, he would be back in six weeks. Now, ten years later, he has returned, and the jilted-but-never-married Hannah, has forgotten Nick’s unfulfilled promise and moved on with her life. She is a single mom raising a nine-year-old son, the bright and charming Sam. Hannah is involved with Ray Big Cat Cataldo, the former high school bully, whose mission in life has previously been to bestow misery on Nick and his friends. While Nick sorts out his life, he moves into his childhood home with his father, a widower affectionately referred to as the Commander. Nick makes a new friend and potential partner in Aubrey, a pretty college student and fledgling writer, whose bohemian style intrigues him. Nick realizes he has several reasons for staying in Knights Ridge, especially making amends to those close to him. He has broken promises and portrayed them unfavorably in his successful book. Nick also sees undeniable coincidences surrounding Hannah s son, leading him to believe he might be Sam s father. Although Nick does not regret fulfilling his mother’s dying wish of experiencing life outside Knights Ridge, he finds himself oddly compelled to staying in town. He realizes the road ahead is rocky, but embraces the familiarity of his former life, and is willing to confront the struggles and challenges to be included again among those he has let down.

Bonus Features:
* Road’s End: The Final Chapter -
An exclusive series epilogue, produced specifically for the Season 2 DVD, wraps up the series and finally reveals the identity of Sam’s father and the fate of Nick and Hannah’s unrequited relationship.
* Bumps In the Road - October Road Season 2 bloopers
*The Scenic Routh: A Behind-the-Scenes Tour - The cast of October Road shows viewers around the newly transplanted Atlanta set, now nestled in the heart of Hollywood.

I have been waiting for season 2 to be released and finally its coming! But the big disapointment is that it got cancelled after 2 full seasons! Not many people like this show but there is something about this show that I can relate to. Its a down to earth show and I like the actors on this show. What got me to buy season one was that the actor from One Tree Hill (Jake) starred in it and I got my attention. Since then I have gotten hooked on this show, and I only wished that it could have gone further.

Good show..gone too soon~,

Yes! I too have been waiting FOREVER for the second season of “October Road” to come out on DVD. When I just saw it just now my heart skipped a beat…hee hee. But then it fell cause I remember that my “Road” isn’t coming back anymore and that makes me sad. I really loved this show and I wanted to see them grow and find out who was the Father of little Sam and see if Nick could ever find his own way. I hate it when really good shows never get a chance to find there wings to truly take fight… This show was great and will always have a special place in my heart. It wasn’t over the top and overly done like some shows nowadays..to me it was simple and well written with a great cast. Rest in peace October Road. you will be missed!!

Finally!!,

I am SOOOOO excited to get this….I hear an October Road Marathon coming this weekend…will have to watch it all over again and then get to the “Truth”!! I miss this show terribly….still sad that it is gone….need a good show to watch. Had so much room to grow….

Ok I received them both and had an October Road marathon to be able to watch the 10 minute wrap up….made me miss the show more than before…watch the 10 minute wrap up and go on…watching it all over again only makes you want it back even more!!! LOL Because even tho wrap up answers the major questions it cannot take the place of the process..

    Alot of bloggers not really pleased with the new iPad.There was too much hoopla over it and alot blogers got disapointed.Quite frankly, I can actually see lots of the cool potential of the gizmo. Third-party applications for composing music, games, papers and magazine and FFS books, all sorts of cool stuff, but IMHO they just didn’t really sell it very well (excluding the books). It looks rather not finished
