Law & Order: Sepcial Victims Unit - The Ninth Year had less episodes thanks to that Writers Strike - what was the point of that again? Anyway Season 9 is awesome and gut-wrenching especially that episode with Olivia Benson goes undercover as an inmate to try and catch a rapist, Mariska Hargitay is such a talented and fearless actress, now that’s acting guys! Other great episode is when Stabler’s wife gets into a car accident and she’s pregnant and is forced to deliver the baby right then and there, such a gripping scene. I highly recommend season 9, SVU rocks!
Amazing season,

I’ve seen every single episode of Law and Order SVU, and own all the seasons out at this momsent. And I can not wait for this seaosn not just because it back to the old school SVU that a lot of people like (the ‘just the facts mam’ type cases with a little personal drama thrown in there for good measure) But it has a lot of intense character driven episodes as well that makes SVU an original in the land of the L and O’s.
Plus this season contains one of the majority of fans favorite episode, Undercover, also known as, “The one with the basement scene.”
Packed with great episodes, fantastic moments, and amazing gues stars (Robin Williams, Bill Pullman and so on and so fourth,) Season nine is an amazing season to own, and I reccomend it to not jsut SVU fans such as myself, btut anyone with a good sense of telivision who is tired of the same old thing, which I can assure you, SVU is not.
I loved the show, but Universal is long overdue for a wake up call,

Law & Order was released when–2002? The included rebate for a discount off of the next season, supposedly available within a twelvemonth, expired before season 2 was available. The “special website” that was supposed to contain updates about availability of coming seasons never showed more than season 1 cover art. IMdB was the L&O junkie’s lifeline.
Despite repeated broken promises (did anyone *ever* use a valid rebate coupon without a fight?), I pre-ordered every available season and all spin-offs, including the ballyhooed Trial by Jury. *Every* new season had some manufacturing defect in 1 or 2 discs, but with no local, cable, dish, satellite or interest in acquiring any type of TV, DVD releases of L&O and its many permutations were, in fact, my only television viewing–(meaning all of those cliffhangers carried to another spin-off remain so to me since they weren’t packaged together.)
For reasons known only to the studio, seasons of Law & Order, SVU and CI that are *not* still contractually controlled by cable stations doing re-runs still aren’t being released. Life happens. Though I would’ve once gladly bought every season available immediately (and did!) I’m no longer willing to spare the funds, and I’m not alone. Had I had more faith in the studio, I’d have continued buying. Universal has been working against its own interest for years, and may only now be waking up.
Getting off of my soapbox, here’s what to expect in Season 9, courtesy of IMDb. I hope you enjoy! I’ll catch the show occasionally when at a friend’s house–maybe.
