The 1989 Elmore Leonard novel Killshot is a real palm-sweater, with a relentless storyline, compellingly conflicted protagonists running for their lives, and–just behind and sometimes ahead of them–a walking nightmare of a half-Indian stone killer named “Blackbird,” plus the freaked-out small-timer he’s taken under his wing. The movie version was produced by Quentin Tarantino’s longtime partner Lawrence Bender, with Mickey Rourke as the hitman who lets no one live after seeing his face, the talented Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick) as his jittery acolyte Richie Nix, and Diane Lane and Thomas Jane as the about-to-divorce couple who run afoul of them by grotesque miscue and end up in the Witness Protection program. Sounds like a recipe for an edgy suspense classic–except that, after filming in 2005, the picture sat on the shelf for years, to be taken down for periodic recuts, which included dropping one whole line of action and the featured player associated with it. At 84 minutes, Killshot has been reduced to a collection of Leonard ingredients, still tantalizing but half-baked. The Oscar-nominated director of Shakespeare in Love is willing to let these lumpy remains be billed as “A John Madden Film,” so blame him for failing to make more of Rourke’s creepy rapport with putative victim Lane and Richie’s Elvis-worshipping girlfriend Rosario Dawson, for Gordon-Levitt’s over-the-top (but undeniably appropriate) portrayal of Richie, and for the heavyhanded editing and repetitious, over-interpretive dialogue (by Hossein Amini). There’s some good wintry location work in Ontario and in Leonard’s home-base Michigan, and a brief sojourn in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the birthplace of Rush Limbaugh. –Richard T. Jameson

Synopsis: Armand the blackbird degas (played by Mickey Rourke) is a professional criminal who travels to the Detroit area to drive some criminal activities. He works in the Richie Nix criminal low-life (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who degassed takes a shine despite the Nix the ‘reckless and asocial tendencies of s. The two decide to engage in an attempted extortion in a real estate agent and inadvertently involve the husband and wife Colson Wayne (Thomas Jane) and Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) in their schemes. Well, after that Nix will be damaged during the attempted extortion, the duo began to focus on revenge rather than the actual extortion. Meanwhile, the story begins to put added emphasis on Colsons deterioration of the relationship, before the reunion and degassed Nix considered divorce. One thing leads to another and Colsons have to seek the protection of the witness attempts to escape his life. But not even the protection of the witness stand criminals to seek peer
First off, enjoy the movie because of it the ‘provision of s. The locations were excellent (my grandparents are in Algonac, Michigan, seeing as that portion of that and Detroit in the film are impressive.) I also thought that the frame was also excellent and you didn ‘ta hate Rourke of regret that he was a violent person and Levitt ‘ s character was one that you LOVE to hate. The film was intense but not entirely reliable as most of the action films may be. In the end, you have a film that feels like a history of action-romance that could be as intriguing as any or despite how violent the movie is.
Bums me out what is what didn ‘t see it in the film. The post-production on a movie wrapped up in 2006 (!!!) but didn ‘ t get it that a wide release because many felt the story was confusing (and it may be occasionally, but this is a film that ’s meant looked twice.) This leads to any and all scenes involving Johnny Knoxville (who played the role of an MP) to be removed of the film entirely. He loved to have seen the uncut version of this film but for the purposes of continuity, this is the film that was provided.
All and all though, it ’s still one that ‘ s worth checking out and recommended to the people who ‘d want to see what would appear an action / romantic movie.
Shame its a great movie ever made at many theaters.,

The great film, Mickey Rourke is and has been underated actor who appeared for many years. He ’s brilliant in this film with Diane Lane, and whoever the partner is annoying kid. Transferred my copy, but buy the DVD, i ‘m sure. I ‘m not that much detail, lets just say its a game of cat and mouse, Mickey Rourke is a big Leon Indus.:)
NOTE: This film avertised perhaps thrown behind Someplace in 2007, saw an old trailer, not sure why it was delayed so long.

Short summary of the capacity of concentration:
1. There is a hitman for the mob who lost a brother a break (due to the brother the ’stupidity of s).
2. A Mafia hitman hired to kill a boss for the older (because an individual wanted to outside) - but later put ‘t want to pay to Mr. Hitman.
3. He works through a nasty criminal who tries to steal and eventually befriends him and leaves it in an inside job.
4. While you at work (extortion of an individual in real estate), doesn ‘t produce as expected and some unfortunate witnesses saw his face.
5. The rest of the film is about the Hitman the ’s trying to find these witnesses so unfortunate that he can kill them.
Review:
This was a good movie for an evening - for an evening of over-rented. But some parts of this movie were a bit hard to believe. Or should I say they took a second to understand vision. One thing is that he returned to his reservation (and this individual didn to the ‘t look a bit like one of an Indian) and found someone who just happened to know him and just happen to know who saw his Durin the face of an interruption. Another thing that is incredible is that a hitman from his caliber was concerned about the money.
Levitt the ’s character were extremely unpleasant. This was perhaps an example of really good temporary. Rourke ’s were also quite good in their character.
What seemed to be some of the je ne sais from which made the film loses a star. But it is something we would recommend to a friend.
